January Plans Gone Askew
Can someone please tell me where the past 21 days have gone?
My plan for January was to get out more. January will soon come to a close and I feel like I haven't gotten out much.
Granted, my van has been in the shop for the last week. I pick her up today.
Nikki (my daughter) is off work today. She's taking me to pick up the van and, then, we will most likely go for coffee and head somewhere to do something fun.
When I'm here over the winter, a favorite quick get-a-way is Rowell's Waterfront Park in Key Largo (about a 30 minute drive). When we were there in December it was being reconstructed. I'm not sure when it will be finished or if we can spend much time there. But all is not lost!... there are many other favorite places to spend time in the Florida Keys.
Another thing on the agenda today is a curbside grocery pickup. I've been using up food that's getting old and my cupboards are pretty bare. Nothing expires on my watch! And if it does... I discreetly toss it, pretending I didn't see it 🤫
Just sharing some quick thoughts as I wait for Nikki to get her rump out of bed so I can go pick up the van. When I woke up this morning, I saw she texted me at 2:29am saying she was probably going to sleep later than usual. She's always been a night owl 😅
