The backdrop of my storiesā¦
In October 2015, I moved into my cozy little home on wheels and hit the road. By December 2025, I needed a changeā¦ and thatās when extended stay hotels got added to the mix.
My nomadic lifestyle is a blend of van life, hotel stays, and campgroundsā¦ I call it Portable Living.

Life Right Now
Whereabouts: In my Illinois hometown area. My plans are not set in stone but Iāll most likely be here until early October š
Home Base: I've ditched campground life (for now) and set up house in an air-conditioned hotel room thru the end of August āļø
Antics: Dodging all the heat waves, high humidity, severe thunderstorms, bumper crop of tornadoes, and thick Canadian wildfire smoke. The weather is just over the top this year š¤Ŗ
