What I Advocate For (Probably Not What You Think)
This morning has me thinking about the groups of people who advocate for their specific communities based on gender, race, religion, and so on.
Supporting your cause is not wrong…
Every person needs to stand up for themselves and, if they feel the need, for their entire community or cause.
But those who rally against bullying and mistreatment are sometimes doing the very thing they oppose.
Where’s the logic in anti-bullying campaigns when you’re bullying those you advocate against?
Resistance only creates more resistance. It’s an endless loop that just keeps feeding itself.
Where do I land on this?..
I stand for everyone being themselves. You know, the ole Be Yourself thing 💕
As someone who’s always felt like she was on the outside looking in (and learned to embrace it!), I’ve stood for inclusion my entire life - and no one is excluded from this group.
If you believe differently than I do - no problem. You do you and I’ll do me.
If you have different aspirations than I do - no problem. I’d love to hear them.
If you’re an asshole - no problem. You’re free to be yourself… just do it somewhere else.
In a nutshell, do no harm - but take no shit.

Life Right Now
I’m in my Illinois hometown area → It’s campground life for the summer season (most likely into autumn).
I’m enjoying → The smell of morning campfires as the holiday weekend campers cook their morning meal or simply sit around the fire, enjoying time with family and friends.
