Peaceful Morning Views from my Campsite - Lincoln IL
It’s a crisp autumn morning at Camp-A-While campground in central Illinois.
My windows are dirty so I opened the door to take a couple photos. It looks so peaceful but it's friggin’ cold out there! The wind makes it feel colder.
I only snap a couple pics before shutting the door so the heater can replenish all the warm air I let escape.
This is one of my favorite campgrounds. It’s a great place to unwind after my busy summer in northwest Illinois.
I love the crisp autumn air but my van is minimally insulated. I have my ways of staying warm but it’s not my idea of a fun time and I don’t care to do it for long.
A perk of living in a home on wheels is… I can pack up and leave if it’s too cold, too noisy, or any reason I choose!
As I continue my southward trek, my next destination is a bit warmer and less windy.
