Heading South Soon?! Bella Had Other Plans
I was supposed to check out of the campground and head south for winter a couple days ago.
But last week, I extended my stay thru October 16, convinced I needed more time to get everything done.
The funny thing is, everything was already 99% done π€·ββοΈ
Several attempts to book campgrounds for October 16 and beyond were made, but it didn't feel like the right time to do it.
Summoning my strong procrastination skills, I easily side-stepped the issue π
This past Fridayβ¦
While out running errands, Bella's check-engine light came on. I was near the auto shop so I swung by to have them run the codes.
She needs work but the parts are a few business days away. Looks like checking out of the campground on the 16th is turning into a strong maybe.
Iβd felt Bella needed some work for a week or so. But walking into an auto shop saying βI can feel something is wrongβ would just get me the side-eye and a boot out the door!
Meanwhileβ¦
The southern states are baking in a freakish mid-October heat wave. Had I left this past Sunday, Iβd be right in the middle of it - with no AC!
As for those October 16 reservations? Had I forced myself to make them, I'd be undoing them right now, possibly losing deposits.
As for heading southβ¦
I'm excited to head south and spend winter with Nikki and the gang - but Bella had a little detour in mind!
I'll probably just stay put until the campground closes on October 25.
After that, who knows!
