Coffee, Bees, and the Week Ahead

The heat and humidity finally broke during the night. I woke up to 64 degrees this morning with no condensation on the hotel windows. Hopefully this was the last run of extreme heat-n-humidity this season.

This morning at Krape Park...

It was nice sitting under the trees on Flagstaff Hill, sipping my McDonald's coffee - doctored up with my homemade vanilla coffee syrup.

I thought it was just me, my coffee, the birds, and the trees. But the bees were out-n-about in droves this morning.

Before I could shut the windows of the van, a few uninvited, buzzworthy guests snuck in. I quickly scooted them out and went back to enjoying my morning.

In the cool morning breeze, my thoughts turn to the week ahead...

My time at the hotel is winding down - check out day is Friday!

I've loved my time here these past couple of months but I'm ready for a change.

I look forward to being back at the campground for a while - barring any hot and humid weather, of course.

The nomad in me may have slowed down over the years... but she's definitely still alive!

Whereabouts: In my Illinois hometown area. I’ll most likely be here until early October 🍂

Home Base: A cozy little hotel room that I've called home since June 28. I'll be shifting to campground life on Friday 🌳
